A near miss « Thread Started on Sept 7, 2007, 6:19pm »
Ron walked on the sixth floor landing with a narrow evasion of Professor Trelawney; telling him again that his future looked grim and again why he needed to take her class to be prepared. Things were already grim a war was in occurrence Hogwarts was not the same as it used to be. What was going on?! It seemed as though everything had changed in just a bounded instant. Teachers were different, students Ron knew were gone, and Hogwarts looked much darker now even in the brightest day the sun could shine.
Realizing what floor he was actually on…Ron’s mind zoomed back to the days of Dumbledore’s Army. Standing beside Harry as so many people lost faith. But Dumbledore’s Army was strength in everyone, it was hope that even in times that things looked their worse…there was something that it could not reach. Ron shook his head…it wasn’t like him to go all philosophical but then again…these times seemed to bring out the differences in everyone. I better save all the smart talk for Hermione. There can only be one geek in our friendship and it‘s not going to be me.

Alyson was in deep thought when she felt herself collide with someone. She got up clutching her elbow. She brushed the hair out of her face and began to blush when she realized who exactly she had just ran in to.
"Oh I..I'm er...sorry." she said feebly. She was blushing profusely. Not only did she like Ron Weasley, she knew that he knew that she fancied him as well. Ron and Alyson used to be fairly good friends, but this was the first time that they had come face to face in a while. Even though they were in the same house, they managed, somehow, to avoid each other. Neither of them really knew what to say around the other.
Alyson cleared her mind and spoke, coherently this time.
"Sorry Ron. I didn't see you there. I've just been going through a lot lately." Alyson smiled and waited for Ron to say something to her.
