Established in 1949 by Edmund Valkirke, the Valkirke School of the Arts in Sydney, Australia, was a boarding school created for both boys and girls who showed outstanding talent in the area of the arts. Here, students could focus entirely on creative subjects, rather than be stifled like they would at a normal school focused on academics or sports. High school aged students attended after passing an entrance exam in the respective subject (art, music, drama, singing, dancing, and to be added later, film making and directing). You didn't have to be rich; it didn't cost that much more than a normal school, and you didn't have to board; if you lived in Sydney you could be a day tripper. The school became quite popular, and it's reputation even spread worldwide, attracting students from all over the globe.
Valkirke today is much the same as it was all those years ago, though of course with all the modern comforts of today. It is a haven for students gifted in the arts, in the lovely city of Sydney. Here at Valkirike, there are no canons, no sub plots. The idea is for you to make your own, make up the role play without restrictions. The only restriction: it has to be an co-ed arts school in Sydney. Characters generally are in years nine to twelve (because no one ever joins as thirteen or fourteen year olds). You can enroll on a scolarship or just normally, provided you can pass the entrance exam. They're very picking about accepting only the best.
So just come and have a look and maybe even join us at Valkirke, where you make the story.
