History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time:
Year 1
Alyson was accepted into the house of Gryffindor. She was somewhat withdrawn seeing as how she didn't know anybody and has an issue with trusting people. She made fair marks in all of her classes including potions. She also turned in all of her assignments.
Year Two
Alyson continued to exceed the expectations of her in all of her classes by turning all of her assignments in and by receiving really good marks in her classes. During the middle of the year, however, she became even more withdrawn and spent most of her time in the owlery with her owl Archemeties. She had heard about the Chamber of Secrets being reopened and was terrified as to what would happen to her and others that she knew. At the end of the year she was pleased to find that everyone was back in action.
Year Three
Alyson's third year was, by far, her favorite. She once again did well in her classes and her favorite was Defense Against the Dark Arts. She really liked Professor Lupin. She attempted, once more, to open up to people and found this quite difficult, but she still managed to make a few more friends. Alyson did very well on her exam in DADA and was able to successfully get rid of her boggart (her friend came to her and told her she was a failure at everything and that she should just go back home and stick her head in a hole in the ground.).
Year Four
This year was one of Alyson's most difficult. Alyson, however, was still able to pull ahead in most of her classes. Potions was still one of her favorites as was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Professor Moody intimidated her a bit but was thoroughly impressed when she was able to almost throw of the Imperius Curse. Alyson enjoyed watching the Triwizard Tournament and was one of the few who actually believed that Harry did NOT put his name in the Goblet of Fire. She was right there in the stands cheering Harry on and hoping for the best.
Year Five
Alyson's fifth year was one she definitely does not want to relive. She was, for once in her life, having trouble completeing assignments. She was fascinated to hear about the meetings that Hermione had started up. She signed up for it at once, and was thoroughly enjoying herself. This took up alot of her spare time and seeng as how O.W.L.S. were quickly approaching, she would be seen in the common room staying up late to finish studying. Alyson was happy to find that her O.W.L.S were over and relaxed by the Black Lake writing in her journal. She received a nice amount of OWLS and was pleased.
Year Six (Current year)
Alyson became more outgoing and made even more friends. She continued to do well in her schoolwork and turned in all of her assignments on time. She did very well on her exams and passed all of her classes.
What plots would you like to pursue with this character? What goals does the character have?
Alyson will finally be able to conjure a corporeal patronus. Alyson will attempt to make more friends and find a secret power within her that even she didn't know she possesed.
Sample Role Play:
Alyson woke up and looked at her clock. "1:45 am" is what it read. She groaned and rolled over to try and get back to sleep before she had to get up for classes. As she rolled over, she heard a tapping at her window. It was Archemeties delivering an owl.
Alyson opened up the window to let her owl in and wondered why this couldn't wait. She pulled her letter open and read: "Alyson, please meet me at the entrance to Hogwarts. I have something important to tell you. Love, Alicia." "Alicia...what does she want? Why is she here?" Alyson thought suspiciously. But then that stubborn mind of hers switched to another thought. "Maybe it wasn't Alicia." the voice said "Maybe it's someone who is trying to get you expelled, someone who wants to try and get you hurt. Maybe, just maybe." Alyson shook this thought from her head. Nobody knew about Alicia. Nobody but her. It seemed urgent, whatever it was that she needed to tell her.
Alyson quickly got dressed and headed down to the common room, glad to find it empty. She knew she was being stupid but Alicia was really her only friend, apart from the few at Hogwarts. She snuck out of the common room wishing she had something that could make her invisible, or at least, something that would make her blend in with her surroundings.
"Wait a minute." whispered Alyson. She had read something somewhere about a spell that could make things not invisible, but blend in with their surroundings. "Brilliant." She thought. Alyson whispered a few well chosen words and tapped the top of her head. Almost at once she felt something cool trickling down her body. She knew it worked. "Brilliant." She whispered.
Alyson proceeded down the hall and once she reached the entrance hall, took a look around, amazingly no one was there to be found.
"That's odd." she thought. "There ought to be at least two teachers down here making sure students don't try to sneak off."
She walked up to the door and gave it a push. Alyson stepped out onto the cool grass; feeling the cool air on her face made her feel free.
Alyson walked down the pathway to the entrance of Hogwarts. The absence of anybody with authority gave Alyson the sense of foreboding. She reached the gates with no problems, except the fact that her feet hurt and she was incredibly tired.
Alyson turned the corner and what she saw scared the life out of her. Alicia was there...being tortured by three large Death Eaters. Alyson pulled out her wand and was able to get her to her.
"Alicia, it's me. Alyson. I put a spell on myself so people can't see me. Stay here!" Alicia nodded in understanding.
Alyson pulled out her wand once more and put the Conjunctavitus curse on the three Death Eaters so they would be able to get back to the castle. Alyson grabbed Alicia's hand and headed into the castle. She knew that she would probably be expelled from Hogwarts but she didn't care. Someone had to know.
She ran inside and amazingly it was full of teachers. She returned herself to her originial state of not being chameleon-like and began explaining the situation. It seemed as if she wasn't going to be expelled afterall. No, all she was given was a week of detention. Her friend had to have her memory modified in the morning, but was allowed to spend the rest of the night there with Alyson.
Alyson awoke in the morning feeling exhausted and exhilarated. Apparently what had happended with the Death Eaters, Alyson, and Alicia seemed to have spread before breakfast. By the time Alyson and Alicia reached the Great Hall, the whole school had heard. She entered the Great Hall and the entire place erupted with applause. Alyson beamed and blushed. She then proceeded to her table and introduced Alicia to all of her friends.
