Character Info
Character Name: Faith Everwood Aurora
Age: 16, but really 4
Birthday: February 29. On non-leap years Faith celebrates it on March 1.
Wand: 14 inches long, made of cherry wood, light but durable, chimaera scale core: very rare and very powerful.
House in School: Gryffindor
Bloodline: Muggle born.
Political View: Apathetic. Faith is concerned to an extent about the war, but if it doesn’t affect her family, friends, or self directly she couldn’t care less what happens. However she, like the rest of the wizarding community, hopes Voldemort is vanquished.
How does your character feel about their house, their house mates and the other students and Hogwarts? Be specific. Although you are a canon character your character does have opinions and thoughts of its own. Faith likes everyone until they give her a reason not to. She strongly believes in staying open minded and nonjudgmental no matter what House the person came from.
Appearance
Height: 5’7
Weight: 130 lbs.
Build: Long legs and arms with an athletic build.
Eyes: Green and sparkly. Despite Faith’s best efforts, her emotions always show through her eyes. She has 20/20 vision, but owns some glasses with non-prescription lenses just for the heck of it.
Hair: Mahogany brown that is cut in a bob with the longest bits coming to a few inches below her shoulders and the shortest bits sitting at the nape of her neck. Her bangs are almost too long to be considered bangs, but she insists on calling them that anyway. In all actuality, her bangs reach to an inch above her chin. She could tuck her hair behind her ears if she really wanted to, but Faith prefers keeping them covered up. Her hair falls in her face more often than not.
Dress style: Faith wears whatever she wants when she wants to. If it happens to match up with the current trend, that’s cool. If not, that’s cool too. She also enjoys experimenting with the different styles of her peers. Preppy, gothic, hardcore, nerdy, a combination of everything—she’s tried them all. Faith is especially fond of the robes required for class.
Discerning Marks: A birthmark shaped like Florida on the small of her back. She is quite proud of it, to tell the truth.
PB: smooth with strawberry preserves on wheat bread. It’s Faith’s favorite food, actually. But looking back at this after exploring the site, the answer is really Holly Marie Combs. I bet she also like peanut butter a lot, though.
Sexuality: Straight and very shy when it comes to romantic happenings. While Faith is beautiful, she doesn’t realize it herself and more than a little oblivious. She flirts a lot, usually without realizing it. It’s not until hours later that she realizes the significance of something romantic a guy says or does for her.
Psychology
Introvert/Extrovert: Extrovert mainly, but an introvert when in a classroom setting. While Faith has no fear of public speaking, she usually won’t speak in class unless she is called on by the teacher. Because of this, she doesn’t make many friends inside the classroom. Her friends usually come from outside school activities or joining in random card games in the common room.
Boggart is? Faith’s boggat is both ambiguous and tangible all at once—failure. As the first witch in her family, she is under great pressure from both her family and herself to become the top of her class. Her family is especially frustrated because in the few months Faith is home for vacation, she refuses to perform magic for them. Faith is complying with the underage magic restriction, but her family doesn’t understand how The Ministry of Magic could know if she performed one tiny charm. The boggart usually appears in the form of father frowning on her, saying she wasted the best years of her life.
Patronus--can they produce one? What is it and why does it have that form?. Faith hasn’t been able to make a patronus just yet, but she has been able to make a fine silver emission come from her wand and can sustain it for fifteen minutes on average. Possibly within a year she could manage to create a decently powerful, fully formed patronus.
Personality?
Include strengths, weaknesses, quirks, general outlook on life.
Faith’s strength is her perspective. She has the ability to step back and look at and understand various situations from every possible angle. She is very intelligent, but doesn’t recognize that quality in herself. Faith has the bad habit of comparing herself to others. Her self esteem is pretty high, but that habit keeps is a bit lower than it deserves. Her weakness is self-doubt. This also comes from comparing herself to others. It really is a nasty habit, isn’t it? It seems to ruin everything. But despite that, Faith succeeds more often than not. Nearly everything about Faith is quirky—her perspective, clothing style, thought progression… all of it. While the way she connects things always makes perfect sense to her, but others sometimes have a hard time following where Faith is coming from. Luckily for her, she can explain things well from different angles. Even if it takes a while, Faith always manages to get her point across. Faith loves her life, even more so since she transferred out of Beauxbatons. She is very optimistic, almost to the point of being ridiculous. It takes a lot to bring her down.
Academically, she is very good at Charms, DADA, and Potions. On the other hand, she has more than a little difficulty with Transfiguration and History of Magic.
Family
Parents? Faith’s parents are both teachers. Her father teaches biology and her mother directs the orchestra at a high school in her hometown of Chicago, IL. Since both her parents are teachers, there is a great emphasis put on academic excellency in her household. Faith’s parents have been happily married for 18 years.
Siblings? Faith has one sister named Hope. Hope is two years younger than Faith. They both believe their parents got on a “fruits of the spirit” kick when naming them in hopes that the girls would grow to emulate their name. So far, their parents’ plan seems to be working. Faith and Hope are close, but do not share every aspect of their lives like most sisters are expected to. They tend to fight just as often as they laugh together. The problem of borrowing things without asking is usually the main reason behind the arguments.
Family dynamics? [The way things are in the family. Relationships, problems, etc.] Overall, the Aurora family is close knit. Faith’s parents and sister are both disappointed Faith attends a school so far away, but they also understand how important this is to her. The family keeps waiting for a wonderful show of magic in the summers when Faith returns home to Chicago and can’t understand how the wizarding community could know of one tiny trick during the holiday. This has become a bit of a sore spot since Faith’s family can’t tell if the school is actually doing anything or not for their precious daughter.
History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time: [Work hard on this!]
Faith originally attended school at Beauxbatons, but became increasingly unhappy in the students’ “pompous attitude” as she saw it. She was among those that visited Hogwarts for the Triwizard tournament, but was only there to make sure the other girls were well taken care of. Faith was the maid of the group, so to speak. Needless to say, it was an awful predicament. While at Hogwarts, she fell in love with the school. For the first time in her academic life as a witch, she had friends. As soon as she could, Faith transferred to Hogwarts to start her sixth year and has never regretted it once. While Faith was severly annoyed with her fellow students at Beauxbatons, she enjoyed the atmosphere of the school and sometimes wishes Hogwarts could be a bit more elegant.
What plots would you like to pursue with this character? What goals does the character have?
Since Faith is a transfer student, a student from Beauxbatons could move into Hogwarts either as a permanent student or for a visit. Also, I’ve been told that one character will definitely have feeling for Faith. There’s always something to do when one character likes another as more than a friend.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
Faith groans and stares at the alarm clock as red numbers illuminate the darkness surrounding her. She stares blearily ahead, but can’t focus properly despite her best efforts.
“What is this ungodly hour? I hate school,” Faith mutters as she hugs the warm covers closer to her body before the irritating sound from the clock finally forces her to rise from bed. Once up and about, Faith stumbles to fight a light switch, throws on some clothes lying on the floor, and staggers out the door to hopefully arrive in class five minutes before it starts.
Despite the early morning rudeness of her clock, Faith always enjoys the trip down the stairs each morning. As she arrives on the third floor landing, her friend is there as usual.
“Morning, sugar,” Faith coos throw the closed window. Outside on the window ledge sits a chocolate brown squirrel. He chews incessantly on the metal window ledge; the scraping of the squirrel’s teeth echoes throughout all four floors of the stair well. Nearly the entire metal ledge is covered in teeth marks from the weeks of gnawing.
“Baby, you’re going to get lead-poisoning….” The gentle reprimands go unheeded as the squirrel continues to chomp on the window sill. Faith watches him for a while yet. After a few minutes, she forces herself to continue her trek to class. A quick glance at her watch shows Faith she has two minutes to get to Transfiguration before McGonagonall murders her in cold blood.
As Faith flies through to classroom doorway, she stops a few inches short from smashing into Professor McGonagonall’s back.
“Sorry! I won’t be late again, I promise.” Faith hurriedly takes her seat and class proceeds as before.
I really screwed up… This is the third time in three days I’ve been late… Stupid squirrel. Why do you distract me so each morning? I didn’t have time for breakfast either… What a miserable day this is turning out to be!
An hour later, McGonagonall lets the class out to run wild during their short break between classes. Faith glances at her watch and discovers to her immense joy there is still time to grab a snack before the Great Hall whooshes all the edible delights away. She runs in an attempt to get there in time, but today just isn’t her day. As Faith rounds a corner, she smashes into someone carrying a huge stack of books. Both characters roll on the ground in agony for quite some time before Faith realizes she is at fault.
“I’m sorry! Are you okay?” she asks the fallen Seamus Finnigan. Both students are sitting on the ground surveying the mess they had made.
“Yeah, I’m fine. You had better be more careful while running, Faith. First McGonagonall and now me.” Seamus laughs as he kneels to gather his books together again.
Faith blushes and then teases Seamus, “You got in my way, Seamus Finnigan. Get it straight. What are all these books for anyway? Are you trying to be a scholar for once?” Faith reaches for one of the books to help her friend, but he manages to gather all of them before Faith has a chance to help.
“Oh, you know… A bit of this, a bit of that. But, hey, break is nearly over. Don’t you have History of Magic next?” Seamus evades her questions with ease.
He always does this. He knows I’m awful at diverting the subject back to the information I want.
“Yeah, you’re right. I do…. Dang it!! I’m so hungry and now I don’t have any time to get anything!” Faith dissolves into fake cries as she clutches her rumbling stomach.
